We don't really have a Plan

Today is Tuesday February 11th (Happy Birthday Louann) and we are tentatively planning to depart Vermont on Saturday for warmer weather.

Vermont is having a more typical winter than the last several years, it has been quite cold with very few days above freezing since Christmas.  We finally got a good dump of snow in the Champlain Valley the night before the Superbowl disappointment. The skiing has been pretty good and there is enough snow to snowmobile now, we did a 35 mile ride with Jean and Ed yesterday to Lincoln pond and back.

So we are leaving Vermont when the winter is the best, but we need to be back to Vermont by the end of March to leave on another trip to Europe with Jean and Ed...and that will be another blog :-).

Today is a bright, crisp day, I was going to go skiing after hockey this morning but decided that I need to get the RV ready for the trip instead.

The lake is frozen all the way to New York.

We are counting down until our Saturday departure but also watching the weather, which may delay us if the weather procrastinators miss the forecast...oh but they never do that!

As the title says, we really don't have much of a plan but I have tentatively sketched out a route.

Our current plan takes 3 nights to reach Florida.

June has gone to Middlebury with Jean to get a load of groceries, and I am off to get the RV ready for the trip.

  3. Have a great trip Fred & June! Hope you have fantastic weather along your route and we get feet of snow while you're away. Are you towing a Harley this trip? Or planning to ride the mini-bike to Daytona?
