On Monday, we departed VA for Fountain Inn, SC at 0820, sunny but chilly at 29 degrees.
It was an uneventful trip of 8ish hours, with a lunch stop near Durham, NC.
We did see an interesting sticker on the back of a pickup when we got close to Curtis' house. It is in Spanish, but I will leave the translation to the reader.
We arrived at nephew Curtis Viens’ in SC at 1745, T-52 degrees. They live in a quiet development that is still growing. I am sure they will find many young families like theirs for the kids to grow up with. They have a beautiful home.
Kasey prepared a delicious dinner for us even though it was a work day for her, so considerate.
We got to play with great niece Vanessa and great nephew Grady before they got shipped off for bedtime.
Early to bed and early to rise for travel to Florida.
Tuesday, we departed for the Orlando area at 0730, T-36 degrees, there was frost on the scooter...need to keep moving south!
The 500 mile drive from SC to Lady Lake, Florida went as planned, a bit boring. We arrived at George and Gail's around 5PM. The weather was in the 70's, very comfortable. After unloading the scooter and getting parked we sat outside chatting...it felt like summer.
We took the scooters to the Villages Spanish Square for dinner, we had reservations at Coastal Del Mar - Seafood Grill.
We had a nice dinner. By the time we got back on the scooters it was getting a bit chilly, around 65F, we are already getting soft.
It is forecast to rain tomorrow, we will probably hunker down with George and Gail here.

I will need a translation on truck sticker
