Day1 - 14Feb 25 Valentines Day

Friday was Valentine's Day.  For many years I would ski with my friend Paul on Valentine's day because it was his birthday and the local ski areas would offer lift tickets for $14.  The lift ticket deals are no more and Paul's Valentine ski partner is now Lisa, his wife.  Matt and Erica also planned to ski together on Valentine's day, so I took my Valentine to the FMBBC with me, and then she got to spend some time with grand kiddies while we hit the mountain.

It was a cold day but the skiing was quite good.

We planned to depart Vermont on Saturday morning, but were watching the weather, and since it was going to come into lower NY and PA as snow  in the morning, we decided to try to get ahead of it.

We got home from skiing, did last minute packing and pulled out of our snowy driveway around 19:20.

We drove the 4+ hours to the Binghamton Cracker Barrel, arriving just before midnight. We were tired but glad to not have to drive through NY in a snow storm.
